Assy Valve Safety

So what does the Assy Valve Safety on the 3 point housing of a L2800/3400 do ?
Can it be used to lower hydraulic pressure to LCV ?
Is there a way to lower pressure to the LCV and not affect the FEL pressure ?

The safety valve cushions the hydraulic pressure spikes when you have a mounted implement raised (like a tiller) and drop a wheel in a gopher hole. This creates a high pressure spike in the trapped fluid within the cylinder. The saftety valve allows the trapped fluid to open the safety vavle instead of splitting the hitch cylinder.

If you want to change the relief pressure on the B7800, you add shims to the system relief valve under the seat.
