I always thought Bosch was the top of the line in jigsaws...don't know about the newer lines...

I have 2 Bosch jig saws and I’ve been very pleased with them. They’re the best I’ve ever used.

The green line is equivalent to Walmart. The blue line is the professional line. Green Bosch is junk, blue bosch is good, though you can get better ones for the same money.

I have the old blue corded one and I agree... best I’ve ever had or tried.

Didnt realize they had 2 lines. Blue is Pro line, green is DIY line. Now i gotta go and look at what i have... Whatever they are, i like them, especially the impact.

thats Europe. They dont sell the same stuff on both continents because we have 230 volt and you guys have 110. I dont know if they make the same distinction in the USA.

By the way, not all Bosch green is junk, before the blue line distinction they sold the pro machines with green housing as well.

Same here..

I’ve only seen one green Bosch drill. It was an ancient ni cad battery drill probably one of the earliest. Being close to useless I decided to preform an autopsy on it. All the gears were metal so it was at least decent quality. I’ve had one of highest toque offered at the time Bosch lithium battery drills for over 10 years and it’s had a hard life. I’ve used it almost exclusively for running inch self feed drills and it and the original battery’s are still going. I own several other Bosch tools and I’ve been pleased with them all except the table saw. I have a cabinet saw in my shop but the need for a portable saw became apparent last year for a remodeling project so I bought the Bosch table saw. And it’s one of the claimed nicest portable saws offered and not cheap at close to $600. The first one died in pretty short order and its replacement doesn’t sound a lot better in less than a years pretty light use. And I only used a 25’ 12 gauge cord or plugged it directly into the wall.

My father bought a used Sawzall years ago, which was a major purchase for him at the time. It came from an estate but before passing away the previous owner had gone through everything and told his wife what each item was worth.

I have that plan in motion also.
Regardless of my purchase price I have made a list of "fair market used' prices.
Yellow or green B & D drills are at $2-3 ea while a Milwaukie Hole Hawg would be probably at $200.
My General 16" planer (not int'l but made in Canada will list in the $1000 range.
But then I consider myself a 'tool nut'.

In my collection I also have many pricy specialized aviation tools as that was a former talent.
Includes torque wrenches, specialized cylinder wrenches, tensiometers as well as a selection of rivnut tools.
In the pneumatic tool department I lack very little and that from aviation to construction tools.
Bet I have close to 20 pneumatic tools from drills to nail guns.
(I did switch careers some 15 years ago)

I'll also add that my SIL is also a practical (wise daughter) kind of guy so he'll (after first picks) help my better half to get best $$'s for my collection.

I first encountered "green Bosch" when I was living in Morocco. I initially thought they were counterfeit, like everything else there, because the quality was so much worse than the Bosch I was used to. But then I saw them in Spain, from reputable shops.
