Anyone compared these 2 FEL quick attach systems. Spencer certainly praises his Kasco set-up, although he stated he had to add some spacers to compensate for the "slop", as the Uni-Hitch is a universal mount. However, anyone who has followed his stump removal thread can see that it is a very capable connector.

As I understand from the ATI web page, they have a specific model of Tach-All for each make/model of FEL providing a more custom fit. From what I can tell, the ATI costs about $100 more.

Anyone have 1st hand knowledge of both? Anyone been disappointed with either?

Thanks,

Bruce

bmac, I don't have a lot of time here but I just saw this thread and wanted to give a little advice. As you can tell from previous threads I am extremely happy that I chose to go with a skid steer quick-tach system right from the start. I am not all that happy with the construction of the Kasco Uni-Hitch though. The spacers I made for the mounting have held up real well so that is not a real concern. Most of my complaints about the Uni-Hitch are with the two levers that you use to lock and unlock the hitch. They are not made beefy enough and they have bent on me several times already. They also should be bent differently so that you can wrap your hand around them and move them without banging your hand into the Uni-Hitch. In other words they need to be further away from the hitch itself so your hands are well clear of the hitch. I can't imagine the ATI system being and worse than the Kasco system. If I had it to do all over again I would spend $100 more to get a better system.

Spencer,
Thank you for an honest assessment of the Kasco Uni Hitch. I think I will order the ATI Tach-All. I am also leaning toward their 60" bucket and, eventually, their 3 point adapter. I would like your thoughts on the Kasco Switch Hitch - is it holding up better than the Uni Hitch?

I have spoken with the brothers who own the company regarding their products. They have been extremely helpful and patient with all of my questions. I also told them about TBN - who knows - we might see them advertising here some day.

I'll keep you posted on the ATI products.

bmac, Yes the Switch Hitch is holding up great. It is built very strong (I got the category 2 model for the price of the category 1) /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I've been using the ATI Quick Attach on my Ford 2120 for quite a few years now. I have 5 different fron end attachments and it works well with all. No banging my knuckles and one of the levers only bent slightly when a large rock got jammed in there.
