Kubota B2410
I recently purchased a used Kubota B2410 (only 60 hours on it). I also purchased a new Kubota backhoe that the dealer installed. I had the dealer remove it upon arrival so I could use the belly mower. I now want to use the backhoe but cannot get it installed. I can get all points attached until it gets to the final point which is the top pin on the stabilizer bar. The pin seems too long to fit between the top arms of the 3 point hitch and the center attachment connection and I cannot seem to adjust the arms to a point where they are above or below the pin enough to fit it in. Help

Pretty cool how they designed that.............
Here's what you have to do:
Get the lower links in first
Get the center mast hooked into the two top link pins
(Make sure you have the bushing in the top center mast hole)
Now drop the stabilizers and the boom to support the backhoe
Remove the clips in the the two 3ph top links and remove the links
Lift the 3ph hitch toplinks all the way up
This will give you the clearance to install your top pin
DON"T PUT YOUR FINGER IN THE HOLE TO LINE UP YOUR BUSHING
At this point you can work the stabs and the boom to line up the hole
Just remember to use very slight and carefull movements and keep all appendages clear while working the controls, It's really not too bad once you've done it.

Oh yah, hook the top links back up after you get the pin in.
Hopefully that went without saying.

hlcds, I have the B4690 backhoe, and after the first time I did get it on and off much faster... Till the the time I had it just a little off line..... Best to be on flat surface, and not the ground if you can (not me). But my top pins is are to be put in first, I found out if not you can have a lot of problems... You may have to raise the 3pt up and put the top pin part way in before you start then let the 3pt down to where it needs to be.... Hope that helps...

You might also find it hasn't been rigged correctly. There are lotsof bolt holes and positions for the BH frame and it needs to be right. I had this problem with my 2910 as did someone else, and it turned out the frame wasn't set up correctly. I found the diagram in teh manual was actually wrong for the 2910, but I think it works for the 2710, with the difference being the telescoping draw bars on the 2910.

I'm attaching the manual page with the setup drawing. Can't say if it will make things better or not, but this is how Kubota says to set it up.

Even when set up correctly, it can be tricky to get it on. Good luck

Peter
