It can be done but operation could be tricky. I believe the 8N does not have a live power takeoff. That means that one clutch controls both the tractor drive wheels and the PTO, so when you push the clutch to stop moving, you also stop the PTO, which causes snow to plug up the blower chute. If reverse gear is slow enough, you can work with it, always remembering to raise the blower and clear the chute before pushing the clutch. If reverse gear is too fast, this gets very tricky and frustrating. I speak from experience with a blower on two different non-live PTO tractors, and I don't want to go there again.
