Attaching the Tractor to the Trailer

Yeh the picture was such that I assumed you might have tied down to the railing. Good looking weld on the ring. The tractor club has someone making tie downs that attach to the tractors with implement bolts and makes for a super secure point to chain from. But they have to be custom made for each model. I too have just threaded in a forged eye bolt on the side on in the front to bind from. I got some concerns from others about that. Thats why I passed it along.

If I am hauling my tractor a short distance I secure it with 2 of the ratcheting straps...one around the front axle and one at the rear axle.
If long distance moving I have a piece of "ALL SCREW" that I fasten through the tow or hitch ball hole of the tractor and a hole in the trailor deck that I run the screw through...Tightening down at both ends with a nut with the plastic lining to prevent the nut from backing off. I recently pulled my 3186 Cub Cadey 500 miles with this method and a tie down at front axle as mentioned earlier. Works for me...

The drawbar is one of the best tiedown points on any piece of equipment. It's low, easy to access and one of the strongest points on the tractor made for pulling.
