Is 44 inches the inside diameter of the quick attach?

Am currently building one on my tractor, not the bucket. And want to be sure that is a good measurement.

In reviewing the specifications for the bucket, it is usually about 45 inches. This would be one-half inch extra on each side of my pads. That seems like a lot of extra room.

Am asking as I do not have a Universal bucket plate for fitting. I plan to purchase that later.

I can share some photographs if any one is interested, I am converting from the New Holland old style.

Have a couple more questions, I will post them as separate replies.

What are thoughts on eliminated the spring and handle component on the latching system?

Tis will allow me to only add two inches of distance from my original quick attach to the new plates. The two inches is for the strength of the square tubing I plan to weld in.

Otherwise, I will need to have at least four inches of clearance. I am worried about the geometry and strength of movement. The four inches is a lot of stick out.

I do not switch buckets very often and is no big deal to have to use a hammer and chisel to remove the pin. Plus, I could probably fabricate something that would work.

Please review the photographs. The first one is a rough idea of how it will be mounted. The second is to show the pin clearance.

Top lip of new plate as aligned with existing top plate.

I was not sure how important it was to have the top edge of the plate align with the top of the existing plate I plan to weld to.

The first photograph has the two lips aligned at the top.

This photograph has the new plate centered with the existing plate. The top edge of the new plate is several inches higher than the existing lip.

No it is the outside width of the QA.

One-half inch extra on each side is ok.

The springs are needed to compensate for differences in QA plates on other attachments.

The position of the plate needs to be where you can weld the attachment plate to the bucket and the bucket will be at the same relative position it was when pinned to the loader arms.

If the plate is too high attachments like pallet forks might not set flat on the ground. It depends on how far down the loader arms go.

Your second photograph did not post, try again.

Basic question.

When the pis is engaged, does it pass all the way to the round portion of the pin, or just to the angle portion of the pin. Was not sure if the angle portion is just to help the pin get to it final destination.

Just the angle:

I plan to weld two inch square tubing to furthest top and furthert bottom of the two plates due to constraints. I have included photographs below.

could some general feedback be provided as to any possible obstruction with the bucket plate?

Again, I do not yet have the bucket weld on plate to use as a template.
