Attachment Sizes/Ratings

BC- be careful with implement ratings, Often times they are for 2wd ratings. I think EA lists both 4wd and 2wd capacities(Atleast their extreme duty box blade did). I will also agree that some of the older cat 1 stuff was built heavy enough, but anything newer will need to be cat II for sure. The heavier implements also work better since out machines don't have any down pressure.

What I wish manufacturers would do is rate by gross weight of the tractor and HP ratings. Land Pride does this on their RBT series rear blades.

Man MtnView, how many times have you posted those pics? (I'm not complaining).
Noticing the height of the sides, I was going to ask if he ever fills it up ... and then I looked at the 3rd picture ... holy crap ... yeah, I guess so ...

Remember though, you can't move any dirt with these things. The sides are 22" tall and 84" long. I figure at a minimum I can move 3 cubic yards at a time, if the ground has any moisture in it at all. I use it for moving large amounts of dirt when I want to even out areas. Waaaaaay faster than the box blade.

Nice set-up, will that do gravel as well?

Yes these types of implements do gravel. I assume that you are talking about roads. You won't move large amounts at a time like can be done with dirt though, not that they were even intended to do that. Just a side benefit.

Yes, It was about roads, thank's for the info.
I was thinking along the line of maybe adding a little gravel, then ride the road to fill in pot holes.

I would do the road first and then see if more gravel is even needed. You may be pleasantly surprised. ;)

That would standardize things way to much and make comparing implements way to easy! Where would the fun (pain) of implement shopping be then? (That was sarcasm in case anyone missed it)

Just asking... ?
Isn't the HP is direct proportion to the size/weight of the tractor.
As the HP goes up so does the size of the tractor !
