I have been hunting for a cat 1, 5' box blade and a 5' landscape rake, I thought I had found a set but someone beat me to it.

The seller had another no name "heavy duty" box blade and rake combo..$350.00 each. Seller said they were new but a house brand...I read that to be China made. I am a little leery of that deal but maybe I am being to cautious.

I really am hoping to find a decent used set but need some help regarding what I should expect to pay, especially the rake. I am in Missouri if that makes a difference.

TIA!

Edit...I just discovered the name "Howse"...I have hearing issues! That stuff looks cheap!

Howse is low end, much like King Kutter (found at TSC & orscheln's) I got my BB at the same time as my tractor and I have no idea where it's from, but it does a pretty decent job of ripping up and regrading the neighbors' driveways around here.
$350 sounds like a good price, though.

where in Mo are you?
everything I've heard here on TBN suggests getting a BB that's at least as wide as your back tires. (mine BB is 66" - back tires are 60" to the outside)

you might also check northern industrial tools to give you some ideas of pricing to help you with local shopping. They tend to run a little bit higher than I can find over here, but at least you'd have a frame of reference.

I found that Northern and TSC stores sell similar equipment. In some cases they are the same. Howse, farmpro, King Kutter brands at TSC are selling for about $400 new for a 5' blade or rake. Northern has 5' medium duty blades or rakes for about $370 each and light duty 5' blades for $250 so be careful how much you are paying for used equipment and be sure of the used equipment you are buying.

I found a new 60" Fred Cain rake today, seller is asking $500.00. It looks heavy duty as heck. Anyone here have experience with Fred Cain prodcuts?

They make their stuff in Danville, IL so that's a plus. Made in U.S.A.!
