The 72" KK box blade is $600-650, half of what EA wants. (Except no free shipping) EA's box blade is heavier and "nicer", but unnecessary for a DK40. If you go with the EA I would definitely go with the 72" not the 78", full of wet gravel that is a lot of weight. I have the KK 72" on my L3650, which would be similar to the DK40 at about the same horsepower.

If you could pick up the implements at Everything Attachments then that would be a good way to go, as you wouldn't have to pay the shipping charges.
(The shipping charges are already accounted for in the listed prices)

As for what to look for, in my experience it is more about the heavier and more substantial build quality WITHIN the same manufacturer rather than the manufacturer themselves to choose from.

Good companies make lightweight implements that won't stand up to much real work, but they also make heavy duty implements that will last a lifetime, and something in between as well.
Don't get caught by the "Heavy Duty" rating that some claim. For instance, one companies 6' heavy duty box blade might weigh 400lbs, whereas another companies "heavy duty" BB might weigh 800lbs.

There is a GIANT difference.

+1 on this. There seems to be inflation in the use of marketing superlatives these days, e.g. "heavy duty", "extreme duty", "industrial duty". My Woods BSM84 box blade is marketed as medium duty, and is, compared to their heavy duty blades. But it is more substantial than some "heavy duty" blades I've seen from some other vendors. :)

I don't agree with this at all, I believe weight is your friend with box blades, also the fact that it is lighter tells that it is made with lighter material and not going to hold up to tougher situations as well as a heavier blade. As far as not being able to handle the wider blade I cannot say for sure as I don't have experience with this model but I do have a dk50se and a 72" BSM72 which is the Woods medium duty which is quite heavy and my tractor handle it easily.

The dk40se weighs around 4500 lbs with the loader weighing another 1200 or so. The Kubota is in the same HP range but only weighs around 2900 before adding loader or anything else. That weight difference puts the kioti at a good advantage over the lighter machine. Pulling ground engaging implements has more to do with weight than horsepower, add in loaded r1 tires and it would perform even better.
