Mowing Attachments

I have Kubota BX22 tractor with a backhoe and a loader, with the tires so small on this tractor I have a problem finding attachments that will work with my 3-point hitch. Has nayone had this problem? how did you over come it? can you change the tires to a larger size? if so what size could I use on the tractor?

If you can change the tires, remember you have to change all four tires and have them properly matched in a 4WD unit. You may even need new wheels.

They make impliments designed just for the sub compact market. I believe King Kutter makes some. Probably others too. Buy the impliments sized for your machine

The attachments should be designated as Category 0...

I have the same tractor (BX22 w / BH & FEL)...nice little machine. I have a Land Pride rake, carry-all, and chipper...no problems with any of the attachments.

Land Pride and Taylor Way are good bets for the SCUT.

I have a 48" box blade, a 48" scraper blade, a couple of carry-alls, a post auger and a fert. spreader that are all standard Cat I and all fit and work perfectly on the BX. Also have a landscape rake that has reduced dimensions (Cat 0, I guess), but fits pretty much the same as the other stuff.

What implement(s) are giving you a tire clearance problem on your BX, Toneychaney?

I "believe" the BX22 has a "limited cat I" while later ones have "cat I", not much, but a little difference according to some. I used the same implements on our 2200 as 2660, as mentioned, several companies make implements for the BX size tractor.

Land Pride makes a line SCUT implements made for the BX series, right down to the paint color :thumbsup:
