To All:

I had a Ford 1100 with size appropriate attachments for the past 22 years. I used & abused my Woods M 40-1 bush hog, T 42 Tiller, as well as the dual hydraulic front blade, and single bottom plow. I/We "made it work" as to property upkeep. I recently upgrade to a NH TC29DA. I would like all input as to what the general community feels is appropriate for a tractor (HP=29; PTO HP=23+: and wheelbase width= 54+") for a box blade, tiller, rake, and tiller. I thank you all for the anticipated responses. Jay

Welcome! Just for comparison, I have a TC24DA and here's my implement list and widths,

12LA Loader w/54" bucket (strong as ****!)
756C Backhoe 12" bucket (beats a hand-shovel!)
Woods RB60 rear blade 60" (good quality!)
Woods RD60 rear d/c finish mower (good quality!)
King Kutter box blade 60" (does the job.)
CCM Tiller 48" (good price-all gear driven!)
Howse rotary cutter 48" (piece of junk).

In my opinion, you could go with what I have but maybe jump up to a 60" bush hog and tiller. I have a lot of hills to finish mow and sometimes I think that the 60" finish mower is too much but it works okay. Again I'd like to have a 60" bush hog but with the hills I have, the 48" works great in terms of weight and stability. Hope this helps, I'm sure others will chime in soon. Joe

Jay,

I have the TC29D. My bucket is a 60", my tiller is a 57" and will get a 72" box blade this coming spring. Hope this helps you.

I'd go with 5' implements with perhaps an exception on the tiller.. maybee 48/50" unless you have lush sandy/soft soil.

Joe, Murph, & Chris:

Thank you for your feedback. I have a 14LA 60" FEL. I did keep the single bottom plow and Woods T42. The tiller's gearbox is rated for 25 HP. The tiller has seen some serious use/abuse- I cracked the gearbox housing years ago and although I have to add gearlube with each use it still keeps on working. The tiller may not hold up with the increased PTO HP of the TC29DA, but I'll use it till it RIP's. Jay
