Attack on Pearl Harbor, December 7, 1941

Good Afternoon Guys,
We went to Hawaii earlier this year, and Pearl Harbor tour was on the top of our list for places to visit !
It was a humbling experience to say the least, while we stayed on Oahu ! I would highly recommend it to anyone that has an inclination to travel to Hawaii ! It meant even more to me, because my father served in the Navy from 1943-1945 on CV-18 USS Wasp !

Visited during a monsoon downpour but well worth it.

Also visited the Missouri in Bremerton WA before it was returned to active duty…

My in-laws took themselves, my wife, our kids, me, my sister in-law and her husband and child to Hawaii for their 50th, our 25th and my sister in-law's wedding anniversaries around 2010. The highlight of the trip for me was Pearl Harbor, the USS Arizona Memorial, and the USS Missouri tour.

My uncle was on Oahu on Dec 7. He was a private citizen - working for a water well drilling company. He said it was a frightening experience. He ended up being a Sargent in the Army during the war.
