I always look like a bum, ripped jeans, holes in pockets... but, don't judge a book by its cover. Don't get me started about the junk that I drive. NEED a haircut too. Probably have more assets than any of my neighors and still travel the world every couple of years.

Seeing as I am no longer employed the at work clothes situation doesn't apply.

It's now whatever Goodwill has in stock other than some Good Chainsaw pants, boots and hard hat with face shield. Also have a good respirator for those times it's required.

I'd like to carry a pocket knife but usually the pockets have holes so that is not feasible.

My assets are meagre and world travels rely solely on what Google brings up.

I'm in a uniform at work. At home it's Dickies pants & any long sleeve shirt I deem appropriate to the weather. I carry so much junk in my pockets it's like releasing an adolescent pachyderm when I put on a clean pair of pants & haven't yet filled the pockets. Knives, earplugs, tobacco, cartridges, nail clippers, extra tools dependent upon what I'm doing. I carry a Leatherman at home & a Gerber tool at work. I'm lost without them.

I also dress business casual, but managing a machine shop, I wear a shop coat most of the time. Here in FL, as soon as I get home, it's shorts and T-shirts almost year-round. When it gets cool, I wear bib overalls, my favorite work clothes.

The smaller Gerber folders are nice knives, Egon. The pocket clip hooks on the top of the pocket, so the knife actually hangs inside the pocket. About $20 at Cabela's.

Same as the OP, except SpyderCo Delica for work, or if feeling expensive a Benchmade Tanto clip type folder. and an old 3.5 inch Benchmade licensed from SypderCo (has the hole) for around the house, with my blu-jeans and an old ratty t-shirt. I actually seek out the oldest rattyiest T shirt I can find most of the time because I dont want to mess up anything good. Been carrying a knife since age 6, mostly Case stockman 3 blades in those days, but have been carrying clip type folders for about 20 years. I try not to carry the Blackberry when not at work, as someone is likely to call me, and the stupid e-mail goes non-stop 24/7 365

And I've carried a pocketknife all the time since I was 6 years old.

Same here. These days it is a Benchmade Griptillian.

Switched from Levis to Carhartt jeans a few years ago. Then the Carhartt shirts with two pockets -- probably a sign of advancing age.

Australian-style hat, to keep the sun off my bald head (A woman barber called me "Curly" one day as a joke, and it sort of stuck.)

Always have my iPhone in a pocket. It has a real LED flashlight app, a clinometer, a level, and a Scientific calculator.

I'm a system architect by day, so it's khaki's and a tee, but, then 2hrs later when I'm at home its into the canvaswear and getting dirty on the frm

I work at home designing molds, fixtures, and inventors ideas. so anything goes from underwear to sweat suit. In public it is carhartt bib overalls with a shirt that suits the weather.

One of the advantages of my job is that I can wear jeans all the time. When I teach a class I figure different clothes won't make the kids any more attentive, so I still wear jeans. When I work outside at home I wear older or torn jeans. Most of my older jeans are Levis, but I've taken to buying the really cheap Walmart Faded Glory jeans these days. As long as they look decent I wear them to work....when they get messed up I wear them to WORK. They don't last as long as better quality jeans, but they cost about half as much. The only problem I run into when I'm working outside is when I need to run to town for something. About half the time I need to change to other jeans because the ones I wear around the place tend to have some tears and holes and such that might make me look too fashionable if anyone saw me in them.

Always carry a pocket knife and my phone. I feel naked without the knife and I figure the phone is good for emergencies, like when I drop some implement on myself and need help to get out. These days I also might need help just getting back up after crawling around under something or the other. Last week I came close to calling my son to come help me up after changing the oil in my truck. Darn concrete is getting harder and lower than it used to be.
