HAHAHAHAHA, that's funny:D But, I'll keep the wife for now, just the drill is available for now. Will keep you updated.:p

You better hope the wife does not read this post and see the phrase, "keep the wife for now," Or now might be now. :D:D:D:D:D

I used to drive past and old barn with two older combines. I think one was a MF and the other JD. Just sitting rusting away. Pretty sure the owner sold the land behind the barn. The land know raises kids instead of grain. The county planted two schools. :D

Everytime I drive buy I want those combines which makes NO sense since I own woods and rocks. Always wonder how much power those engines would make connected to a genset. :D:D:D:D

Dan

John Deere 25 combine

i was half tempted to get it to plant some weet/oats in a few acers of my front feild. But to round out the ancient equpment i would need an old grain mill to run on an old hit and miss.

just a run of the mill hit-n-miss... that happens to be a "large" 9hp version... more common is the 2-3 hp versions....

Strumpshaw 2005 Rally Report

hit-n-miss because they had a neet governer setup. the ball type governer would hold a valve open till it slowed down when it would close, and fire again. Therefore they would always run at them min fuel input required for the load on hand. (the large flywheels helping a lot)

Drove out to my in-laws today in eastern Kentucky. Just happened to run across a vintage tractor show. In town there were all kinds of vintage farm equipment. There were about a half dozen of those Hit & Miss thingies. They also had some old Allis-Chalmers, Farmall, Massey, IH, etc. tractors out there. Really unusual because they live in a really small town out in the middle of nowhere. Sorry, didn't take any pics even though I had my camera in the truck. Dangit!
