ATV Dump Trailer - - Brands?

Take a look at the 1600 Utility ATV Wagon-Power Dump Cart by Bosski. It's a bit more $ than you want to spend, but it certainly fits the description you gave.

I had the Agri-Fab. It was good for hauling hay, but just didn't have the strength to haul more than about 40% of its capacity if filled with dirt. I've seen the Bosski. It is solid and strong and will do the job you want.

Tom_H: When you say you had the Agra-Fab, were you referring to the tandem axle model specifically or some other? Interesting about your trailer's load carrying problems.

The Bosski looks really good but, at 539 pounds, wouldn't you need a pretty large ATV to get use out of it? How much can a midsize utility ATV tow?

I had the 17 ft3 single axle with the standard wheels. If filled with soil it was so heavy that an 18 hp garden tractor would barely pull it on level ground. Even less than full the frame would twist and warp. Even when the load was balanced and the bed pinned, the latch would not hold the bed in place when a wheel would hit a bump. The bed would slip past the latch and the bed would pivot back. I always had to be sure that over 60% of the weight was forward of the center of gravity, which meant shoveling a lot of material to the rear before it would dump when that time came.

As to the weight of the Bosski, Rifflerunner indicated that he was looking for something to be towed by ATV or small tractor. I agree with you about the ATV capability. Not to start a flame war, but I interpret "small tractor" to be a sub-CUT. I do believe that a sub-CUT on Ag tires, coupled with this Bosski would make an outstanding combination for towing the firewood that Rifflerunner talks about. The page has links to smaller but similar models.

What did you end up getting for an ATV trailer?

Try Country Manufacturing. They have several models, one of which is for ATV's. Several of us here on TBN have their larger 2 ton wagons. Additionally, several models are on sale right now.

Country Manufacturing wagons.
MadRef,
The four-wheel 2k wagon looks like what I'm be interested in. I gather it comes in a kit and you put it together? If so, what's involved? My mechanical skills are low, and no welding ability.
Thanks,
Rolando

www.mountaingoattrailers.com or a nichols trailer are GREAT products.

I have went through 4 trailers in the last 5 years hualing alot of firewood. I have noticed that you only get what you pay for in the trailer world. My buddy bought a mountian goat and it is an awesome trailer.

I agree with MadReferee, the Country Manufacturing trailers are tough to beat for the price.
I bought one of the 7500ATV 2500 lb capacity trailers a few months back and it's great. Adjustable tongue and hitch is a real convenience for using with multiple tow vehicles.
I found them at http://www.countryatv.com
