atv for log skidding

I'm looking for advice on atv for log skidding. I would be using wheeled and ski log arches and tracks in some conditions. Any advice on good forestry atv and aftermarket tracks would be appreciated. Currently use log arch with datsun 4wd pu, so am familiar with log arches. Use would be on snow, forested ground,river rock and sandy conditions.

yeti - I'm in somewhat a similar situation. I use a Honda 450 Foreman 4x4 and it's a pretty awsome machine in my opinion. Currently checking out Log Arches for AtV,s. Have used mine for skidding firewood logs with a cable choker (hooked to the hitch, so it's lower than the axle - haven't had any problems). Also hauled Cedar logs out of a swamp last fall - too wet to get in with anything else (not the recommended way - but take it slow and careful). Attaching a few pics, not to emphasis the method, but to show what the Foreman can do in the woods.

Cable choker hitched to ball. If the log hangs up, tires on both axles spin - suppose it could tip over, that's why I'm looking for a log arch.

In one of my white cedar swamps. Taking the logs out in 8' to 14' lenghts.

The way I hauled out the cedar. Only limitation I had was the weight of log I could lift onto the ATV. This could be a possible tip over - but slow and easy and no problem. May have used up my luck though, so definetly going to get an arch.
