Just a guess, I dont think that 6 way blade would hold up on a Cat-297 type machine; but probably would last just fine on CUT, or a Cat-247

My Massey 2 bottom sold for $200, which I wasn't gonna match; the dump trailer went for $1250, which sounds low, but no rear gates, floor gone, no pump, and the pin hitch. Someone got a steal on the Mahnidra belly mower, and the brush cutter for $600, might be good, don't know the model numbers, but I assume it's an 80"?

I bought some stuff at an auction this spring. Local auction house, bid online through Proxibid. It kind of left a bad taste in my mouth. One of the things was a good deal, the other was an ok deal. But by the time you pay the buyers premium and take time to drive down there and wait in line it becomes less and less of a deal. Besides that, they act like they are doing you a favor once you get there. One of the items was an hour away and didn't notice this until it was too late, less of a deal. I could see how getting a smoking deal on something at an auction could make it worth all the hoops, but overall it was a mediocre experience.

I do buy and sell quite a bit on Marketplace and find that is much easier to deal with. I have had mostly great experiences buying and selling on Marketplace, but you have to vet the people you deal with well to determine if it is worth the effort.

This auction, being held every month, and having a lot of ag/const/gov equipment, i think there are exporters bidding as well, to send to Central America. There was a low hour JD-5105M that went for $50k, to the same buyer that got a pair of JD-5090s (JD 5 series, 90 hp, e series, that might 590E or 5090E? don't know their model system).

The odd ball, was 28 pallets, with 8 each, street light luminaries, brand new; for $80/pallet.

Couple fuel barrels with hand pumps, went for affordable enough, but not worth the drive, even at $20; unless you had other stuff to pick up.

Landpride grapple went for $600, which is pretty good.

I have been hitting them pretty regularly. 2 different Auction Sites with somewhat different items.

What I can say is Prices Differ by Region, Basically comparing New Chinese Mini's (Skids/Excav/Fork Lifts/) and such. There are 1000's of them going through the Sales and the Sale Prices vary. I just purchased This Wednesday.f

for $2000 less than what I would have had to pay 2 weeks ago, but it is 500 miles further away, so there you are.

I did pick up some attachments at the Sale 2 weeks ago that were cheaper then than this Sale.

Kinda know a guy, not that well, but he buys used pick ups, min 10 years old, and ships them home to Hondorus. They can need mechanical work, because labor back home is cheap. He told me a $2000 truck is often worth $5000 down there; but you also have to deal with shipping out of Tampa. No idea how "up and up" his deals are, as that's not my business. I get the impression he's not too worried about titles, bills of sale, ect.

My best deals have been estate auctions, with things they didn't auction. "Hey. how much foe that box of old welding rods?" Umm, give me $10. "they look like they might have got moist, howabout $5". Got a 30# box of 3/32 6013 for $5.

I haven't seen any decent (meaning cheap) skid steer forks at the June/July/August equipment auctions; have seen JD hitch style; and also front-end loader forks, and I think on set of SSQA forks that holds for $800 or so last month.

I've been kinda on the look out for forks, a disc, and bushhog, if the deals are right, but zero rush. When I do add those, chances are, that will probably be market place finds.

Years ago I bought a pallet of old car parts and memorabilia from a defunct museum auction…

As it was one of the last lots of the day auction said too late to load but open at 7 am the next morning.

I returned at 7am to load and the pallet had been pilfered of several antique porcelain signs… like 1930’s Buick, and a Flying A gas sign.

Auction house said once the gavel drops it’s yours.

Left a bad taste regarding auctions since…

PS… I still had value but it was no where what I had bid for.

This thing’s been calling my name for a year now. For sale local and at a steal price. I don’t NEED it right now, but its too good to pass up. Great condition.

I think I’m an HLA “geek”
