Auto throttle..?

Chevyman29,
Well it is very simple to install yourself, for $99 +tax you get a small box with a small wiring harness and three rocker switched. The switches snap into the blank holes on your side switch panel and the wires are already in place beneath the panel. Maybe a 20 minute job.

sounds simple enough to me . ive got a issue where the front bucket doesnt curl down properly whenever you hold the lever all the way over .it acts like its in a bind so i may let the dealer install it whenever they take a look at that

What's stupid about it?

Perfect setup IMO.

our 09 4720 has the switch for it.. sometimes its good sometimes not, basically you set your idle like normal then it will throttle up as much as you push the pedal/forward down....

its good at times, but if your working with heavy stuff where you need the rpms and torque to keep going, starting the engine low and then trying to have it accellerate with a load makes it take too long to spool up the turbo and make power.

Hmmm... OK, what would performance be like if you manually set the throttle to say... 1,400rpm's and clicked the auto throttle on?

The engine would already be working in a good spot torque-wise and spooling up the turbo and rpm's is not that steep a jump (the lag would not be so great) - yes/no?

Haven't had that as an issue so far, mine seems to spool up quickly. Might be a function of the comuter controls?

after i installed the three switches i no longer have auto throttle ?? have i missed something ? i have load match motion match the good cruise but i thought i should still have auto throttle?? any ideas?? im also getting a error o7 code .

I don't have my book here with me but have you looked up the code to see what it is?

I would think you can turn on your switches and have the auto throttle come on. If not you may have a loose switch connection, check the connectors to see if that helps.

chevyman29,
I also remembered that there was a program routine to go through did you perform this part of the installation?

i did do the program thing the fault code comes back as a bad connection or a short on one of the switches
