I am purchasing a rototiller and brush hog... (both are Imatch/autohitch compatable) But I am not sure what I do if I want to use a seeder or other implement??? looks like its restricted to just a few items. Not sure its worth it.

Very cool and interesting... but for the price, I have enough time in the day to hop off the tractor and hook up the pto the "old fashion way". Besides, I need the exercise. ;)

To pricey/complicated/limited for me...The iMatch takes care of 99% of the pain involved in hooking up a 3PH mounted implement-hooking up the PTO shaft is easy.

Have to agree with the guys here. I thought I could do without the quickhitch for my ballast box, tiller, and cultivator. Took me a year to realize how much of a pain it was, so I took the advice of everyone here, and bought one. The pto on the other hand is a snap to install and I could not justify the need of a autohitch. Well ok, it was not even an option for the 2305, but still.:)

to the brain trust:

If I understand properly the autohitch (pto conaction) is good for only 2 implements, while quick hitch is for almost all. So the consensus get the quick hitch not the auto hitch??

Correct, The imatch will fit almost all 3ph attachments as long as you have a set of bushings for them that you can get from JD. When I purchased my set-up they threw in the bushings for all my attachments.
The auto-hitch is pretty limited on the attachments it will fit, and in my opinion is a novelty item. So in conclusion, imatch=yes & autohitch=nah :)

the dealer is telling that using items with just the quick hitch (imatch) and manualy connecting the pto is a real pia but with the autohitch its a breeze. Anyone?

My bet is he has one and needs to sell it...

Tell him you want to try just the iMatch and hook up to a implement in the lot so you can see for yourself.

FYI: You can get the bushings at various places like TSC, or online: QUICK HITCH ADAPTER KIT CAT 1-3

Unless you are physically unable to lift 20lbs then hooking the PTO up is fairly easy.

seems to me with only 2 implements being suitable for the auto hitch that it is going to take longer removing the pto so as to use just the quick hitch.

I got the quick hitch with my 2520 because I didn't initially have any rear PTO attachments, but did have a rear blade and I wanted to use it to pick up the 62D deck. I'm wanting a post hole digger, but I have to take the quick hitch off anyway to attach any PHD, so neither quick hitch or auto hitch real are of any use for that kind of implement. I'd save your money and put it toward other accessories.

FYI... the "iMatch" is nothing but a fancy name for a 3pt quick hitch. You can buy that same adapter from dozens of sources. I got one at Harbor freight once for $69.
