Does Mahindra have autothrottle / linked pedal on their HST models? Most other CUT manufacturers have it including Kubota, Kioti, Massey Ferguson, and John Deere.

In case you don't know, it is the feature whereby the engine rpm increases as you push on the HST pedal.

I am looking much more seriously at Mahindra since it has no DPF, which I consider to be a total failure / ripoff by the government. Everyone I know in the trucking industry says it doesn't work, and all the big diesel farm equipment owners are doing whatever is necessary to NOT have DPF. You can watch two tractors side by side, one with DPF and one without ... identical models otherwise, and watch the non-DPF tractor pull away smartly from the choked DPF system that costs an arm and a leg, breaks down frequently, and does almost nothing except increase ownership costs.

We are the only country stupid enough to mandate it ... just what we need another incremental cost that our farm products have that NOBODY else has. Thanks, Washington! And you wonder why we dislike our government! It seems to be run by money and the special interests, NOT of the people, by the people, and for the people as the constitution says it should be. The majority seemingly have no say.

As much as I dislike big government, I'm not a huge fan of diesel particulates in my lungs, either. I will say my new Mahindra never belches black smoke (only puffs of white for a few seconds when you run it up to PTO speed.)
BTW, the majority DO have a say: they've voted themselves a chunk of the earnings of those few at the upper end of the income scale.

I don't know about other models, but my Max 26XL HST doesn't have that. Throttle control is solely by the lever on the column.

I don't think Mahindra has an autothrottle feature, it's certainly not on my 3550 HST. I'd have liked to have it for a little fuel saving/engine saving but it's not that big of a deal. I run my throttle low until I need the power. Pleasantly, the engine isn't overly loud.

It's funny. The "other guys" are all running DPFs and they want you to run at high rpm all the time. With no DPF, you are free to run a Mahindra as you see fit, without regen. I've always run my engines at low to medium rpm unless I needed the power but, somehow, fitting a DPF makes them want you to run at 2700 - 3000 rpm all the time.

And, get this ... it's not supposed to result in significant wear, either!

You should go look in Kubota, Kioti, Deere, and New Holland forums about regen! It makes me want to laugh when I read the posts of people who claim to be knowledgeable. It might HAVE to be that way for the DPF, but it doesn't hurt a diesel engine to run at low rpm all day ... assuming the DPF isn't fitted. Think back to how diesels were run BEFORE DPFs. You ran with as much power as you needed.

Never heard of wet stacking? Its a thing and its common on diesels that spend a lot of time at idle or low power.
