Aux Light hook-up

I have a Mahindra tractor with ROPS and canopy. I already have one light mounted on the left fender. Also have FEL and unhappy with the lighting in front unless loader is very low to ground. Especiallly at night, don't like to drive with loader that low. Suggestions on where to mount aux lights on front to assist in front lighting and loader work, and rear mounting of lights for 3pt imps and backhoe. Also, should I attempt to run new power right from battery or tap into existing light switch and hot wire?
1) Where to mount lights on front?
2) Where to mount lights on rear?
3) How to wire? Existing light switch, run new hot wire right from battery and add new switch, or other idea?

There's a whole bunch of articles on auxillery lighting and rear work lights, etc.. I would highly recommend a search on these topics. I mounted my lights on the ROPS (yep - drilled holes too /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif) and they swivel so I can point them forward or rearward depending on need. Others out here have used powerful magnets to mount their lights and then remove them when not in use.

I wired mine directly into a harness already available (for rear lights it's an option on most deere's) under my seat. Most folks have put a switch in their wire - I didn't as I figured if I had the other lights on then I might as well have them all on. Personal preference I guess. You can also directly wire a relay into your battery (make sure to put in a fuse and switch). Lastly, as you mentioned you can also wire them into the existing lights wires - I'm not sure if this might be too much amperage for the fuse on those lights or not. I'm clearly not an electrician.
