Auxiliarly Lights - How big is my alternator?

They offer a model 795 which is a Halogen that puts out 50w. The problem is it also puts out 3 times the heat.

They referred me to Action Products, 800 892 9657 who is a distributer. They had 2 other options. A model 796 which is a 35 watt halogen and also a 3497 by Stanley which is an 1156 with a 27watt, but filled with krypton and that would throw as much light as the 35 watt halogen.

Any problems with melting the housing that anyone has experienced with a 50 watt halogen?
