It sounds like you're getting some traction even though it may take a while for things to straighten out. I certainly respect that your boss appears to have stepped in and become proactive on your behalf. As a business owner and employer myself (not in a tractor related industry) I feel that employer loyalty to employees is an important part of attracting and keeping good workers and usually is a good indicator of how a business treats customers as well.

Of course the same observations could be made regarding reps, distributors, and manufacturers right up the line as well. How people like yourself are treated during this transition will be an important test of how well the reorganized new franchise will fare going forward. In short situations like yours are early and great opportunities for them to prove themselves.

Keep on top of this and keep us updated. I would also recommend that you remember to thank those that are instrumental in getting results for you. We are often quick to jump on situations that aren't right so we should also be consistent at pointing out those that get it right.

I sure hope that you will have a long and happy relationship with your new tractor!

Thanks again skyssx. That is more than a dealer I asked could tell me.I hope Befco brand is decent. Good Luck on your deck as well.

Why can't you run someone else's deck off the back of that tractor instead of a mid mount mower?

Is there not a deck that could be removed from a unsold unit sitting on some dealers lot, that a rep could request:then sell that unit without a deck. That would get you covered and the other unit could be sold without promising someone a deck.

Well, the three point hitch was "ordered" along with the deck. There's a back hoe attached just now. As for removing a deck from a salable unit, if you were a dealer, you'd probably be pretty loathe to part with that right now. It'll shake out, though. I spent most of the daylight today on a 48" zero turn mower. Only mired it in the mud once and used the Yanmar to extract it.

I wouldn't part with a deck off a brand new machine if I was a dealer. I had a 6 foot MM deck on my Cub. I got tired of repairing parts on it that were worn and replaced it with a 7 foot rear discharge Land Pride rear mount deck. It was the smartest thing that I have done for mowing. The MM deck cut nicer and was faster to mow with. It also left clumps of grass out of the side discharge when wet or cutting tall grass. If you broke or lost a mounting pin you were screwed unless you had a spare with you. I don't miss it.

Got the 3PH Tuesday and the mm60 today. The mower is still in my truck bed as I couldn't find anyone to help unload it this evening. Thanks to all who gave advice and support. More at some later date.
