avatar help

I'm finally trying to add a avatar but can't get er done.
I go to edit my profile and add picture. Mine is less than 80 x 80 in size and smaller in bytes than all the avatars on here that I checked, but when I submit it fails because of size saying it must be smaller than 7500 bytes. It is smaller; 15k. Am I adding it in the wrong spot or what?

Not sure, but from what you say, the 15k is twice the number of bytes that 7500 is. Maybe it is something else. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

I thought that too. I get my bits and bytes mixed up, but when I copied and saved a few avatars in use here on TBN they were 16, 17 and 19k. Mine is smaller than that. So I figured I was missing something or doing it in the wrong area. Thanks for the reply.
