I haven't the faintest idea on how figure out the size of a picture, let alone how to resize it. I'll give it another whack and see how it turns out though. I frankly don't remember many members by their avatars. Some are pretty distinctive, but by and large there are a bunch of tractors that look pretty much alike at first glance.

Do you have a camera software on your computer, and if so, grab a picture and re-size it.

If you right click on any picture, and select properties, it will usually show the resolution/pixels.

Try it first before you re-size. My current avatar is (or was) a 16mp picture. I had no problems uploading it.

Interesting.. I look at the avatar first, and remember them best vs. the user name..

Same here, although it took me a while to get used to your Kioti when you got rid of the Kubota.

I know, I hate to change my Avatar, though I have done it several times, because I hate it when other people change their avatars.:) I have to learn them all over again:shocked: But everyone was ragging on my to change it soon after I got the Kioti, so I did, I guess some change now and then is good.... Nah..:)

I think a lot of us (forum users) forget how difficult it can be, using/re-sizing/posting images when we didn't have much/any experience with it.

2Lane, you may need a step by step instruction (with pics) by some of the "storied" members here...or even easier, if you trust someone with our password, have them upload your avatar...then just change your password.

If that all sounds like greek, we've all been there.

I cannot remember for sure, and I have plenty of software and methods to resize a photo, but I don't think I had to resize the photo for the avatar, I believe I sent it full size and the forum software took care of it.. I could be wrong, but that is what I remember (I am getting older:eek:)

The proper avatar is impotant for making the right impression.......you want people to think your smart, don't you.......?

I should have taken my glasses off, should'nt I?

Or PM someone and see if they would resize it for you

Ok I played around with uploading a different avatar. even though it says you need to , you do NOT have to resize your photo.. I uploaded a 2048x1536 photo, and it resized it automagicly:) I am old, but I am not that old.
