AVerage annual use?

I have about 700 hours on my BX 1800 in 3.5 years. About 200 hours a year but the fact is I actually have more seat time than that on the machine. Sometime I just sit on it when it's not running admiring my world and sucking back a cool one. Yup that's livin.

Im averaging about 50 hours per year. A good percentage of that is pasture mowing chores but also use the tractor for moving downed trees on the property and driveway grading also.

50 hours per year... 40 at home and 10 volunteer work at school/church. So, a little over an hour a week during working season. It sits for weeks at a time in the winter, doing nothing when it doesn't snow. When it does snow, it takes about 10 minutes to warm up and 5 minutes to clear the drive.

This is exactly why I bought the tractor. I was spending 3hrs a week maintaining our yard with a lawn tractor, shovels and a wheelbarrow( 1 acre with house, two garages, garden, fruit trees, pool and driveway). I have cut down my yard maintenance time by over 1/2.

I average about 50 per year on my Kubota. About 20 per year on my Allis Chalmers.

Chip, 100 hours per year in my case, I'm on my tractor every second I can spare. Very relaxing time spent (IMHO)

I too think there is a curve. We bought our's new in Nov 2005 & yesterday I realized it already had 70 hrs. After I bought forks & put almost everything on palets I've noticed we use it more.

We're around 300 hours in our first year but it was shared with 2 other tractors too that got a bunch of hours. We do haying etc too with all of them so there was 50 hours right there.

I maintain 10 acres of meadows, woods, trails, gravel driveway, fire wood stock, and detailed landscaping which amounts to about 100 hours per year. As some others have said, as the projects get checked off the seat time drops a bit.

I recall "back in the day" when it was considered normal for a farm tractor to average 400 hrs per year. I average 150 hrs per year on two tractors, totalling around 300.

This year should lower the average significantly.

First year - around 80 hours. Mostly clearing in our woods and maintaining common arease in our development - grass cutting, gravel road maintenance, clearing, etc.

If I had the time would be higher. No where near clearing out what I hoped too this past fall and winter.

As has been mentioned, very good therapy.
