Average Life Expectancy

Does anyone know where I can find historical life expectancy information?

Specifically, for a white male born in 1718. I found a table on the Internet (forget where) that indicated a white male born in 1850 had a life expectancy of 38 years.

JMIII, I echo Bill's post...you are amazing! /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif I sat here this morning and spent about 30 minutes doing Internet searches, searched the CDC site, the NIH site, then thought about posting on TBN...nah, too esoteric a question. Spent another 30 minutes searching and couldn't get past 1850. I had to run to a meeting and thought, what the heck, I'll post on TBN. I return from my meeting and I have my answer! Well, apparently before the flood (that would be the flood in which Noah built a large boat and filled it with cute fuzzy animals and they all got along just swell singing coom ba ya) it was 929 years and the maximum allowable age was 969 years. After all the water fell out of the sky the Sun's radiation reduced our lifespans to less than 100. I was given a tape called the Hovind Theory, it is quite entertaining. J
