Have a JD 4610
The axel seal on front tire has very small leak
Started after JD changed the axel fluid
Wondering if anyone has tried using stop leak, if yes what type/brand worked
It’s a very slow leak, looks worse because dust collects on rim
I know seal should be replace, which is plan if stop leak doesn’t work

Thanks

talk to the dealer who did the work. the mechanic could have damaged the seal while installing it

I have changed such a seal on my 4WD John Deere. It was not too difficult. I would not waste effort with "little fixes", you'll spend more time later fusing over it, than wishing you'd replaced the seal in the first place.

I wouldn't put any foreign snake oil type stuff in the front axle.

First, find out if they used hydraulic oil or gear oil. Alot of times both are spec'd....so if the dealer used hydro oil....simply swapping to hear lube may solve the issue.

But that will only buy some time. The seal is failing and needs replaced
