Think that we are both old enough to know any ladder will slip or move cause an uneasy enough to be extra careful climbing over 6 feet.
I have carried an aluminum ladder with a wide base a short rope to tie to top to keep unpleasant effect to take place.
Then, look around for someone younger to climb.
so far it has worked well.
My wife was talking to friend and there was a clatter she heard on the phone with the friend saying her husband had fallen off the roof cleaning gutters. then dropped the phone.
we drove to there house and he was sitting on front porch the ladder was still leaning against the wall a scape or arc on side of building showed the ride he had had. Now 20 years later still see the arc . ladder made good fire wood.
News saying that the Grand Canyon was flooding. thought this was the reason it was developed many Eons ago.
For my self spending my time getting ride of out side junk metal and then have moved trailer inside the tractor shed to load what had considered spare parts

In my lifetime have gone from horse-drawn farm equipment to this GPS type where can sit at home and look at screen where it is. running on its own.
