The management system that allowed those type of production numbers of high quality aircraft and ships came from Dr. Deming. That system was more secret than the planes themselves. You see while the companies and workers take the credit for the numbers it was the management of the production system that made it possible, not the workers. Producing those planes, ships and tanks faster than the enemy could destroy them won the war. If you had to pick one guy most responsible for winning, it's Dr. Deming. HS
