Gary,
got a question for you, this may seem way out in left field but have you checked your fuel filter for water or to see if it's stoped up? i scaned through all of this and dont see that you said anything about engine rpm's.
while spending the day at a buddy's digging a french drain i noticed my b3030 BH seemed to get weeker and weeker, i stoped digging and drove around the yard, it was then that i noticed i was unable to maintain higher rpm's. I went into full freak out mode thinking of all the worst things it could be. When i got home i walked in the house told my cfo the tractor was jacked up. i went into a rant and all she said was "ever put the filter thing on you forgot and left in the kitchen for a month?" I pulled a black fuel filter off that weighed 4 times as much as the new one, BH has worked great ever since.

Engine runs as it should, filter is clean. I just visualled it when I did the 200 hours service and decided it didn't need replacement. The only good thing with the Kubota plastic filters is that you can see if any thing is in them. All my fuel goes thru a 10 micron filter as it is pumped in. So far all my diesel equipment has never had a filter changed and still runs perfect with absolutely no evidence of water in the fuel. My tank is stored inside my boat shed so temperature fluctuations are minimal.

So when you swithed boom and dipper controls you moved a total of 4 hoses? That's how many I moved, 2 hoses per each control valve.
Yes, had to move 4 hoses from how Kubota shop had them. Basically it involved moving the hoses from the far right valve to the far left valve and switching the hose from top connection to the bottom and bottom hose to the top.

Just checking back in to see if you had checked the relief pressures and adjusted all the valves. They should all be equal.

My Case BH has restrictors in some circuits, and if your machine has them, and you switch hoses, the restrictors are not doing the job intended.
I haven't messed with the relief valve other than to remove the tire and see where it was. My dealer in Hot Springs didn't have any gauges or flow meters to sell and I really don't want to deal with them again on this machine. Its working although slow and weak but it still works if you are patient. I dug up a lot of stumps and pine trees with it a week or two ago. Its been bad weather here off and on since Christmas so I have been using the 1-2 days of good weather between storms for clean up activities. I will get my round-tuit out soon and make some calls to another dealer in Hope Ark. (Birthplace of President Clinton) and see if they know what a B26 is and maybe take it to them to check the flow and pressure.

I don't know if it has restrictors or not, but it has worked fine since I got it till just last couple months of use last year I noticed it moving a bit slower and not as much power plus the backhoe cylinders seemed to get pretty hot which to me indicates a lot of bypass at pressure resulting in oil heating up. They get hot enough to make your hand feel unpleasantly hot, not blistering hot, but very , very warm.

You might be best off finding a good local hydraulic repair shop. Based on the age of the machine, I assume it's out of any extended warranty?

Any decent hydraulic shop could probably be able to track down the issue quickly, and at the least amount of cost to you.

If I were you I'd pay close attention to what J J said about how the controls may be tied to a certain hose orientation from the factory. And until you commit to having someone test the flow and relief settings you'll never solve this problem. If you're possibly doing damage to your pump now by running the hoe at high fluid temps and possibly restricted flow, (clogged screen?), you may end up killing the pump and incurring big expenses in the long run.
Forget the first dealer- they ignored what you asked for and billed you to smash rocks on their lot for an hour?! AND they re-oriented your lines to how they were supposed to be from the factory- which now may make sense based on what J J said.
If it were mine I'd find a dealer or local hydraulic shop equipped and knowledgeable about tractor hoes and pay them to do the tests, NOW, not later, and figure out what is wrong. Short $ now- or long $ later.
This problem will not solve itself. Your hoe is trying to tell you something- you need to listen to it and fix it:thumbsup::2cents:

another off the wall question. which also shows how smart my bota dealer is.

does your Bh have quick couplers that go straight to the tractor and not to aux pump? i only say this becuase my dealer could not believe my b3030 had quick couplers. the guy said something to the effect of "most of them go to an aux unit mounted to the back of the tractor" he said this set up had a internal filter.

spent the day on a medium sized cat track hoe, took me a couple hours to retrain my mind with the controls, totally different than my bota. i understand your frustration with the controls changed up. Man that thing was AWSOME, hyd. thumb made ripping trees out and tossing em through the air a blast.

I know what you mean.

I occasionally do some work on a guy's property that I know, and he has a Case mini-ex, and man is that thing nice to operate. Amazing the power of a hoe that can rip through ground using a big 24" bucket. I try not to spend too much time on it, cause it makes me pretty bummed about my little backhoe when I jump back on it after being on that awesome little digging machine.

I didn't read the whole tread but I have a B26 and every now and then my does same thing then I remember the thumb valve sticks some times and I kick to get it centered and all goes back to normal.
