B-2620 MMM drop rate

Good evening all. Just a quick question on the B-2620 60" MMM. I am aware of the adjustment valve for the drop rate on the hydraulics. Since new I have always thought the "up" on my deck was way too fast. I can adjust the drop rate just perfect. My question is can the "up" rate be adjusted also? My deck slams into the stop brackets on the mower suspension. Any way at all to slow the pickup rate down?

Slow the engine RPMs down. My BX will do the same thing if I just yank up on the lever.

No, it can't be adjusted. Learn to anticipate it and quicken you lever movement. Idling down when mowing would be very inconvenient. I raise my deck every time I back up.

Thanks guys for the responses. I was hoping it could be adjusted or I had overlooked it in the manual. May have to live with that "thump" after all!

I've been living with the same "thump" since new...on my 2012 year B2620. When I asked the dealer about it, he essentially said ..."That's just the way it is". But slowing down the rpm, as others have said, softens the "thump". I also mow with a 60 inch MMM on my B2650, and it only has a little "thump" at any rpm. But the 2650 MMM is a different design.

Thanks for the info fellas. Great to have knowledgeable advice, just thought there might be a way to lessen the "bump" that I was overlooking. Now back to mowing!

Another suggestion might be to put a rubber stop on whatever it is hitting. You can get them for cheap at your local hardware store in the hardware section.
