B-7500 Oil Fliter

Wen,

In my last response I didn't question that they use the same filter, I thought it was surprising! That they both work at the same pressure and all. If it bypasses because there's not enough pressure then what work is it doing?

Wen, if it's not rocket science, then why hasn't someone designed a one size fits all? Does Kubota have just one filter with specs that fit all engines?

It is OK to question authority once in awhile! Really!

I've asked a few people about the differences between UDT and Super UDT. As of this moment the only thing that has been unanimous is that Super UDT is formulated with extra additives and is blended for severe duty and / or extreme cold weather. I received very little actual information beyond this point. This has me very curious now. I plan on pursuing this even further. I wish to know who makes the lubrication products for Kubota. More often than not a OEM item such as this is produced by a large and well known company. I'm guessing either Exxon/Mobil, or possibly BP/Amoco. I'll give you an example of something I happened upon a few years back. A refinery in West Memphis Arkansas which is owned by Coastal Unilube processess and packages oil for several oil companies. I saw one case where they produced Chevron and Castrol products as well as their own line.
