Immediately after it dies and won't start, use a voltmeter to see if power is getting to the fuel shut-off solenoid. If not, you probably have a bad ignition switch.
Bear in mind I am not familiar with your tractor or its wiring, but that is what I would check. If you don't have a voltmeter, you could run a wire from the batter to the valve and see if it then starts up.

I've had this same problem on my tractor for two years. I'll be working fine and then it stalls out like it is starved for fuel.
It starts right back up with a puff of black smoke and seems to run fine. My dealer thinks it's an electrical problem, maybe the operator sensing switch on the seat. Since I can't repeat it regularly I've learned to live with it. Of course some day it will stall out at the road and I'll have to tow it back but until then...

I recently bought a M6800 that had the same problem on the dealers lot. I tried a second tractor which behaved the same way. The mechanic came out and in a short time isolated the problem to the brake switch. If you push the brake too hard it was pulling on the harness and pulling the switch out of place. Repostioning took care of the problem at the lot and for the two months I have owned it. Just a thought. Autotechmark
