B or L Series 33hp...Which one and why..???

Weight defines what a tractor will do. HP just defines how fast it will do it.

A 32hp L will keep pulling a box blade long after a 32hp B stopped because it's just spinning tires.

Same for loader capacity. The L with improper ballast will lift more than a B with proper ballast.

If you are just pulling a mower, lighter weight might not hurt you, but for all other tractor work, weight is King.

The economy series Ls end in 01 (use to be 00). The Grand Ls end in 60 (use to be 40). Different frames, a lot more weight, nicer transmission options & cab options on the Grands compared to the economy machines. All the Grand Ls are quite a bit larger than the low HP Ls though. Kubota has a hole in their midsided premium lineup compared to JD.

I believe the confusion is that there is an L series and a Grand L series, which is Kubota's top of the line series with all the bells and whistles.

Agreed.

The Grand L is the TOL. The L is the low cost price leader.
