G'day all, I'm looking at a set of brand new rims and tyres on Ebay Australia, they're 6-12 fronts and 8-16 rears, both Ag tread. I have a B2100 with turf tyres and could use a more aggressive tread for our bush clearance, the specs say the rear tyres should be 9.5-16, anyone used smaller sized tyres on the back and if so, what effect does it have ??
Fronts are the correct size.

Good Morning:
I am not an expert but if you use the wrong sized tires for the rear then the gear ratio would be off. If you put the tractor in 4 wheel drive you could have problems as the wheels would be going at different speeds.
If you just used rear wheel drive then the only difference should be that you won't go as fast as the gear ratio would be changed.
Bottom line, I'd stick to proper sizes as the tractor is set up for best performance based on them.
Good luck

Thanks I hadn't given the 4wd much thought but had considered the gearing, i'll maybe give them a miss.
