We have the 7-pin plug on the inside left side of the bed, less than 12" forward of the tailgate. It is reasonably convenient....

Ya, that's kind of what I was thinking.... just can't tell where to put in until I pull the liner out this weekend. I want to do all the cutting/drilling prior to the sprayed in liner.

I have a 7 plug hook up in the bed so it has less chance of hanging brush etc., but I also use the under rear bumper "stock" 7 pin plug for the bumper pull trailers ... Of course I don't have a "freezing" problem with the B&W Trailer Ball but I do grease it with a couple shots of lub which I just place on the edges of the ball's mount in the bed as the B&W folk's reccommend in their instructions. Seems to work fine.
