I just bought a 1998, B1700 HST, 430 hours. It will shift into low range, but almost always pops out when load is applied. Once, I held the shifter in place and moved the tractor forwards and back, and it stayed in low for the rest of the day. I haven't been able to do it again. It doesn't feel like it is getting all the way into gear. Clutch play is fine, and high gear works fine. Is there a linkage adjustment? What repair manual would I buy? Thanks for suggestions or thoughts.
