Two range transmissions are all right to a degree but after having operated both quite a bit I'd only buy a three range! It's like having an extra 3 horsepower at that size!

And the 2320 is 3 range, yes?

Out of interest how do the Australian prices compare to the US prices for the two tractors I originally asked about?

$15,500 for tractor and loader can get you a bigger tractor here in the states. Maybe not a new Kubota though. Have you looked at Kioti (Daedong over there I think) or Mahindra or Branson. I'm pretty sure you can get 30+ hp for that kind of money here. Man, I wouldn't want to be bush hogging 12 acres with a 5' mower, or even half that much land. You're gonna be awhile. If you buy too small you'll regret it later.
