At least you see a little good in everything. Not a good time with the snow coming. Let us know how it works out. Hope it's not too bad.

I had a mechanic that I know take a quick look at it today. Without getting inside and looking, he is speculating that a bearing may have broke free and been pushed through the housing. Next step: splitting it open and assessing the damage.

He has not been on TBN for a little while, you might be able to get a reply back by sending him an e-mail (possibly, he'll get an e-mail notice that someone replied to his thread - but he might be like me and have that feature turned off.) :2cents:
