Kubota B2410 with turfs
Finally took delivery of my new B2410 last night. Looked awfully nice pulling in the driveway. Didn't have too much time to use it but I did manage to use the FEL to fill in a small hole that had been left after the house construction. My only comment is that I sure hope I get better with the FEL the more I use it /w3tcompact/icons/crazy.gif.

First thing I did after that was take off the mid-mount mower. There is another thread on that right now and let me say that it is very easy to unhook from the frame but not so easy to pull out from under the tractor. The end result was that I used the bucket curl on the FEL to lift the front end a few inches to have the extra clearance to pull out the mower. Worked fine.

I will try to post a picture as soon as I get them back. Thanks to all for the wise words here on the board.

Hey Knight9, Congratulations! Tractor delivery day ought to be a holiday.

I feel the same way, but I'm also pretty sure I've gotten better fairly quickly and you will too. It's been pretty well advertised here that loaders aren't meant to be a very good tool for digging, but I've found I can quickly make some pretty big holes without really meaning to/w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif.

Good luck and enjoy.

Congratulations Kevin and I'll second Rob's notion/motion /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif of the Tractor Delivery Day Holiday!

<font color=black>Sounds to me like you're already getting the hang of it!

Enjoy- Dave

Dave,

I'd like to take credit for the "bucket curl" thought, but I only knew to do that since I had read it earlier on this board! /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

But as we all know...practice makes perfect...and I intend to do lots of practicing.

Lucky dog! I've been waiting 9 weeks (exactly) for mine to arrive. At least I know that lots of people are buying them. Please pass along any tips you come up with.

Will,

You must be a better man than I...nine weeks would have killed me. The good new is, the wait is worth it!

Kevin,

Congratulations of the new arrival. I agree the mower comes off easy but I had more trouble getting it back under tractor, but then again I don't have the FEL (read as FEL envy). Looking forward to future posts as you have time to play (errr..work) with the new tractor.

I have only had my tractor (L3010) for about a week. Congratulation! I know exactly how you feel about taking delievery and using an FEL. I too felt pretty intimidated at first. I ordered 5 truck loads of dirt the next day and have been practicing and practicing. I'm starting to feel like a pro. The only problem is that I think I need to order more dirt cause this is just TOO much fun and I'm almost finished. (ha)
