I went to a local dealer in northern Ohio and got a price for a B2410HSD with a 60" mower for $13,400. I also noticed that in the brochure he gave me, there was a B2410HSDB. My questions are - He did not give me a price for a FEL -- so my questions are 1)How much more would a FEL cost? And 2) What does the B stand for in HSDB?
I am new ( about 2 weeks now in the forums ), but I think I have made up my mind that I am going Orange - much to the chagrin of all the Deere farmers around here.

Welcome!

The HSDB is the model number for the "Bi-speed" option. It's briefly explained in the 2410 section of the brochure you got. Around here (upstate NY) you can expect to pay about $3400 for the LA352 loader. FWIW, the prices here seem to be higher than others I've seen posted in this forum.

Take Care- Dave

I don't know about the prices in your area, but when I bought my 1999 B2710, the dealer figured $12,600 for the tractor and $2,900 for the LA401 loader.

I live in central Maryland and just bought a used B2400 HSD with 198 hours for $10,000, plus a new LA352 FEL for $2650, and a new 60" mid-mount mower for $2,100. The FEL and mower are original Kubota equipment and the price included mounting. The regular price for the FEL was $2,900, but the dealer gave a discount since I was buying all three items. I also got a 1-year warranty on the used tractor (same items covered as a new B2410, except for the reduced one-year warranty period). I guess this isn't too bad for a used tractor - JACK

Jack,

Sounds like a pretty good deal to me, congratulations and welcome toTBN. Have you got the tractor home yet? I'm waiting on a 60 in midmount for my B7500. Grass is growing pretty good here, much longer and I'll need a side sickle. Lots of stuff to add to your profile. /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

AirborneEngineer… Welcome to TBN and Kubota ownership, and hope both are a pleasurable and long lasting experience!

You are not isolated! I myself reside in Frederick County. On the other side of the Potomac, we have paccorti (Peter from Leesburg, VA area) and WVBill (who gets the pleasure of commuting /w3tcompact/icons/frown.gif into DC each day from WVA).

Welcome! I too am a new (used) Kubota owner in the central Maryland area. Picked up a 1 year old B7300 (less than 200 hrs) last fall with FEL, 60" Mid mower, tire chains, and box blade for under 11K. Loved it in the snow. Can't wait for the grass!!!

Welcome to the community, Jack.

Sounds like a nice set up you got - and a good deal too! Congratulations.

Roy: I dumped my daily commute into DC a couple of weeks ago. Took another job in Reston. More pay, shorter commute (even had time to do some tractoring before dark last night) AND I can still find time to squeeze in a little TBN during the workday. Life is good!

WVBill... That's great, a double-win, more money, less hassles /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif! I see from the responses that Peter can add to his 'one day maybe a tri-state tractor party list', Steve (skent).

In the Washington Post, a while back, they mentioned that per-capita, our region is the most internet-connected in the US (percentage of households wired). So, a number of us from the region should be statistically expected. Or… is it we get bored easier and start surfing /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif. (OK… now the comments. Like, "Of course, Roy, you guys live around DC, and everyone knows there is no real productive work coming out of there." /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif.
