Kubota B2601, ZD1511, RTV900
I just took delivery of my 4th Kubota B series, a B2601. The tractor runs great and performs well, however the HST pedal is very stiff forwards and back. I can not find any grease fittings to fill and only see a neutral arm with two spring positions to choose from. Wondering if this is just a new machine and needs broken in or if their is an adjustment to make? My last three tractors all moved very smoothly and this tractor was fresh out of a crate. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! I lost access to my first account here from 1999, RBrown, man where has the time gone!

G'day Mate and welcome to TBN from Downunder.

Well, it can't hurt to spray a good blast of Fluid Film (or a lanolin based lubricant) in/around where the pedal pivots. Spray anything 'mechanical' that moves, for that matter, all over your tractor (unless its got its own dedicated grease nipple). I go around my tractor and do this once or twice a year.

Enjoy the site.

There is a grease fitting on the HST treadle of every Kubota I've owned/run, so I'd suspect the 2601 has one too. It will be described in the owner's manual. Some of the machines call for it to be lubricated periodically.

I agree... both my FWD and REV pedals have a grease nipple.

Mind you, this fact wasn't included in my Owners Manual... 'they' had also removed two nipples on the front axle without updating the Manual. You live & learn, eh?

Thanks for the replies, however their isn’t a grease fitting anywhere on the pedal system. I will have the dealer take a look at it when they put the backhoe on. I just don’t remember by B3030 drive pedal being this stiff.

Unfortunately, not yet. I have ordered a shop manual to determine if their is an adjustment I’m missing. The dealer told me my tractor was fresh out of a crate and needs hours on it and it should loosen up. I still think my B2710 and B3030 were easier to press than this tractor. Reverse is the most brutal! My heal ached after plowing snow in reverse this year.
