Kubota B2601
So I got in my first local quote for the 2601 with the list of attachements/options below. They literally quoted MSRP for everything which comes to $28,579. I then asked them to load the rears with Rimguard so $29,200. Less $1,300 in Kubota rebates......$27,900.

No reason for me to move quickly on that..........lol

Hi,

Just a couple of things. Make the dealer match the tires either all Good Year or all Titan. Kenda does not match the pattern even though it is subtle I refused to take that setup when I was shopping. I think that unit originally came with the 63" B2782 blower and also the 54" model? I have the 2782 on my TC24DA and it is a perfect setup if you have the space.

Interesting point on the tires.

River19,

Salesman at MB was uncooperative about the tires when doing specs for the tractor. Asked him how it would grab him if he brought a family member to the funeral home and I put two different colors of nail polish on the decedent for an open casket visitation? Suddenly it became more of an issue. All in how you frame it I guess.

Good to know. I wasn't planning on dealing with MB unless I needed to go that far. I will try dealing with the dealer closer to me here in the Monadnock region.

If dealers are really coming back with MSRP or **** close, there is no reason for me to rush out and buy until I know everything I want and do all my research. Might be a February type purchase figure 4-8 weeks with dealer prep and installed equipment and that will put me at the tail end of mud season. The Honda 1332ATD will handle the driveway this winter or for however many winters I want it to lol.

Thanks for the vote of confidence. I started so far with Chappell. We will see how things go as I get deeper into the process eventually.

Townline equipment any where near you? I heard they were ok.

I noticed you had the light kit, I haven't heard great things about it and I believe it is not LED. I ended up going with the ROPSLIGHTS.com kit (3 lights, $180) and it was all nicely sleeved, well made, and extremely bright. All wires were pre-done to the switch so install took ~30 minutes including testing dropping the rops, checking 3pt clearances etc... Install was just laying out the kit to see which wires were long/short (middle length was the rear light) put the light U-bolts in, zip tie the cables/switch to the rops and plug the end into the worklight lead.

I will checkout Townline as well, originally wrote them off as I saw the 802 area code and there is no way I am paying sales tax on this thing....lol But I see they have a NH location as well......so they are back in the game !!!

Good suggestion on the ROPS light...........I will check it out

That seems high . I知 in ct and I believe my quote is around 22100 with rim guard, loader qa bucket, mid mount mower and 3rd function installed . Not apples to apples with the tax but that still seems high

Thanks for the gut check......yeah what I got out of it was "lazy"......they basically just printed the same **** thing I already had from K.com ......and if they are just quoting MSRP that won't get me off my arse as there is nothing compelling me to make a decision then......I can always get MSRP lol.

I looked in New Hampshire and not one dealer wanted to even respond to me. I have found a few New England dealers to be quite snobby. Good luck with your search .

Side note/question:

I am sure each Kubota dealer has a "territory" or range where they can either contractually or ethically pull customers from but I haven't really run into that until today.

I have no problem driving say 500 miles to pick up something "unique" etc. I asked a large well-known K dealer for a quote as I know they have 2601s in stock. I received a polite email saying I was out of their "Kubota Whole Good Territory" and declined to provide a quote but in the future would love to supply me parts or service.

So......what exactly does that mean.....? Are they really saying if dealers within my "territory" don't have what I want I cannot go for a drive to get what I want? That's insane.

Can anyone validate or clarify?

Also, the whole Equine discount piece just made my day potentially as I believe our long standing USEF membership qualifies.

I contacted a very larger dealer as well, maybe even the same one you speak of and got the same message. im curious of this as well. my brother in law mentioned that his friend got an excavator from that dealer but only because he picked it up and because it was for a fleet. not sure if that makes a difference or not. i believe it has to do with delivery. maybe mention you're willing to pick up?
