Comparison B2601 VS CK2510

   / B2601 VS CK2510 #11
Yes, 3 range is important, but the 2610 is just physically bigger than I have room for, and weighs even more than I'd like for mowing my lawn.

Favorite mower (90" behind the L4240HSTC) and the recently completed shed to accommodate it. Anything worth doing is worth overdoing:)

Best part - Wifey was fully behind the upgrade. She and her brother were thinking that at 71 I deserved to be out of the heat, dust and pollen in Summer. Bless them both.

I really don't know much about Kioti tractors or their reliabily. Is Kioti in theory a reliable alternative?

Kioti is a good competitor to Kubota. I speculate Kioti has <3% of USA compact tractor market share. Kubota has 50% of USA compact tractor market share. Both Kioti and Kubota are increasing market share.

Reliably is first and foremost a function of operator prudence. Prudence is sizing tractor to property size, applications and soil. Prudence in how the tractor is operated and prudence in upkeep.

Second is the dealer. Do you feel the Kioti dealer's service department to be the equal of your Kubota dealer's service department?

Are both fairly close?

Engineering and steel quality might be third.

"in marketing the first thing taught is that every product should be marked NEW & IMPROVED or 25 CENTS OFF.

I like your sales strategy lol
Whatever you want to sell; mark it up 100% and advertise at 50% off

I have a bx and a b. I bought the b to replace the bx with the same thought process as you. However, I have found the b to be too big for mowing my yard and I don't like the cut nearly as much as the bx. I can cut faster on the bx than the b. I also really miss being able to lock the mowing deck up on the b like you can on the bx. The pin up deck system on my 2650 is nothing short of ridiculous. I ended up keeping the bx for mowing and use the b for everything else except large jobs. I should probably sell the bx and get a ZTR, but we have history (lol) and having an extra 3 pt hitch around to move trailers and such is always nice. As far as the capability of the b, I love my b2650. It is nimble, powerful and pretends to be a bigger tractor. I just bought a new place and bought a New Holland 80 hp job, but I will never part with the b. It does stuff I would never attempt with a much bigger tractor.

If you have a yard with lots of trees or winding landscaping beds, you may not like the size of the b, plus it tears up the lawn significantly more than the bx.

Same as skipperbrown, use BX to mow, till and roll lawn. Use B for fun stuff. The ford when raw power is needed. Ford and B have loaded tires.
