Don't think they made a gasoline B2630. Anyhow, it's diesel...

Yea, something like that, although I haven't removed it from the tractor yet. That's another question, anyone have any detail on the proper way to remove the fuel tank ?

Greetings all. Been a while since I posted - so I guess thats a good thing, at least from a mechanical standpoint...anyhow... I had a very strang problem today. The tractor stopped running, and acted like it was out of fuel. However the guage showed about a quarter tank. I noticed the sight glass was only half full, so I figured guage was just screwed up. I added gas and it started right up. Went to add the rest of the 5 gallons and it began running out the top ! Upon inspection I found the tank was collapsed/imploded. I'm guessing it was pulling a vaccum while hot ? Anyhow now I have a collapsed tank that I'd need to re-expand somehow. Any ideas ? Also, looking for ideas on how to prevent if from happening again ! Thanks all !
I am guessing that your tank for the tank has a plugged vent

If yours is set up like my B7500, I had to first remove the throttle lever and loosen up the plastic cover under the steering wheel. This allowed me to slip my hands behind it and get to the bolts holding the metal cowl. Then remove hood and cowl. You should then have access to the tank.

Thanks to all for your comments on this. I finally go around to working on this today. I removed the tank....which was no small feat in itself. After removal, I plugged the fuel feed tube with a bolt. Then hooked the other two vacuum lines together to seal those off. Then I got a big rag, filled the tank with water, and after full, sealed the rag around the hose nozzle while still engaging the nozzle. I watched the tank slowly expand back to its normal size ! :cool2:

So, I then rinsed the tanks a few times with some diesel fuel and HEET water removal additive. Reassembled (again no small feat) and refilled with diesel.

So, there ya go. Now I just need to buy some touch up paint to fix the hood scratches that were a casualty of the repair...:(
