Have had my tractor for 1 1/2 years, works well and gets the job done. Been using the backhoe all this time. Purchased a few implements to help with a clearing project, so finally removed the backhoe today. Went to install the 3 pt arms, and have run into a huge snag. Unless, Im totally missing something, as this is my first tractor and first 3pt install, but the lower pivot shaft that holds the bottom of the arms, will not go into the hole with the backhoe subframe still attached. Nor would it even go in with the rear tire on the machine. It looks like the pin is a couple of inches longer than it needs to be, but thats about it. Maybe, if it was slightly shorter, it would go in with the tire on, but no way on gods green earth, will it go in with the sub frame on. Even if this pin was in place BEFORE they put the sub frame on, there would be no way of putting the arms onto it, with the sub frame in place. Did they really design this thing, to have to remove the subframe and tire, to use the 3 pt??? Please tell me Im missing something, or is there some sort of two piece pin that I should have. I, of course, will call the dealer tomorrow. (sunday night). I will be needing to go back and forth between the backhoe and other attachments in the next couple of weeks, and cant be spending hours and hours doing so.
Any help is appreciated. Ive seen other pics online for this tractor, and they all have the arms and subframe on at the same time. It does not appear to me, that the backhoe will mount up, with the arms on also. ( would be dangerous this way anyway ).
