Oil & Fuel B2660 Snowblower Gearbox Oil

Thankx K1, i will keep a an eye on those plates and the main horozontal drive gear behind the fan. This drive gear was only pressed onto the shaft on my B2650. She spun on the shaft when i put it under serious load. I slid the gear back in place & hit it with the mig welder, no more problem there!

Good info guys.

I'm tuning up an old 6 foot McKee (3ph) snowblower before the snow arrives. Can anyone give me some idea as to how much tension there should be in the drive chain ??

Thanks

There was a good tip in the shop tips thread a while ago. Make sure you can remove the fill plug before you remove the drain plug.

Kubota recommends SAE90 gear oil. Remove the top and bottom plugs, drain, replace the bottom plug, and fill until the oil starts coming back out the top plug.
