Well, the ground is now frozen and I've installed the rear wheel spacers along with the chains.

Overall this has greatly improved the usability. Plowed 6" or so after the install, steering and overall traction is much better. Now, if Kubota didn't put the brake and HST pedal on the same side it would have been even better as I could brake steer..

The above said I also installed a plow on my ATV this weekend. It works much better than I expected, it's much faster and dare I say more fun  It might be my go to for smaller snowfalls. We'll see.

So honestly..the wheel spacers made a huge difference or just so so....cause I'm thinking of putting someon my b26 along with wheel weights..when I attach my rear blower...because if I do a little fel work ..I don't want to take off and on the blower and attach bh just for ballast...or if anyone has any other suggestions my ears are open.... The spacers simply allowed me to install the chains without the chains rubbing on the fenders. The spacers themselves I'm sure help stability a bit. But the main goal was the chains. Tractor was useless on my hilly laneway without the chains.

Ok..I've been doing lot a of research on the spacers.they are suppose to help stability quite a bit.....I'm thinking of 2" on rear and 1 1/2" on front...with the laurin cab on its top heavy..so just for a little peace of mind .the spacers should help me out.....

I only installed spacers on the rear, The front axle articulates, not clear to me how spacers really help on the front axle, at least not until it has articulated enough to lock.

I'll have to update my earlier posts due to the photbucket hosting issue - two attached for now....

I like the set up you got there backlight..sell me a set of chains lol...how do you like moving snow with the Plow? Much easier than with the bucket? Does plow lift front wheels off ground also, when plowing? That's what scared me off about putting plow on my front..thinking ok bucket would do the same no sense throwing money away....

Thanks!

I bought the chains from tirechains.com, been happy with them so far.

The tractor lives at my cottage, lot's of snow up there. As I only make it to the property on the weekend (or every other weekend) there can often be allot of snow to plow, a bucket alone would not be adequate. That said, I'm still of the opinion that a plow on a loader frame is a compromise. A under mount plow would be better, but obviously not an option on the B26 with the permanently affixed loader. Yes the plow will lift the wheels off the ground, in float or non-float. I plow a long, hilly, private lane. You have to consistently adjust the loader to ensure you are not lifting the wheels or digging the plow in. It works for my purposes, you can move allot of snow with the tractor in 4WD with chains (and sometimes for fun the diff lock too)! But there are better options if you are plowing for a living. I'll use my tracked ATV to plow as a first choice (when there is not a huge amount of snow), much faster than the tractor.

No real need for a plow when you have the blower! Might pick up a blower some day. The cab is looks great, but wow are they expensive.

Thanks..yea very expensive..my first year with cab and blower...I will post to see how b26 runs the blmx3164 rear blower...I heard positives and negatives about this set up...I'd like to get rubber chains for mine along with wheel spacers...
